Isabel's Classes
Biography
Isabel has enjoyed a life-long love of dance, starting with over 25 years of ballet training and performance. The deep connection she felt while dancing in a Corps de Ballet foreshadowed her draw to Tribal Belly Dance. As a Theater major at the University of South Carolina, she added stagecraft and costuming skills to her performance experience.
Her initial curiosity about belly dance, over a decade ago, eventually led Isabel to Global Caravan (then Gypsy Caravan) Tribal Belly Dance. Since 2018, Isabel’s passion for GC Belly Dance has grown to pursuing the exciting goal of starting a local Tribal Belly Dance group.
Isabel holds a Level 3 Certificate in GC’s Collective Soul intensive training and a Level 2 GC Teacher Certificate. She has been leading GC workshops and teaching classes in Bastrop and Smithville since 2024. She performed in Myra Krien’s The Return! in Austin in November 2025.

Combos & Formations
Global Caravan Tribal Belly Dance is inspired by a rich pool of dance traditions from around the world: the Middle East, Spain, India, North Africa, and more; from ancient ritual dances to contemporary dance forms.
For this workshop, Isabel has selected several of her favorite GC combinations to share. We’ll connect through the joyful spirit of dancing in community using GC duet, triplet, and chorus formations. This workshop is appropriate for all levels, beginner to experienced dancers. There is room for everyone in our Circle!
